I was a part of UK UNSIGNED in 2007 as part of the Manix Boys dance group. Since winning the overall competition then, I have continued to work with UK UNSIGNED and the SABA Network and they have helped me to start the social enterprise AFND – Always Furthering, Nurturing & Developing. The experience with them has showed me a different side to be successful in the creative industries.

I have been on the youth work and music production of UK UNSIGNED since the early 2000’s. With their support and connections, I have gone on to create Street Fusion which runs a studio in Brent. Over the years I have worked with the likes of Big Zeeks, General Levy and Stef London. UK UNSIGNED gave me the start I needed to make this happen.

We have been working with UKUNSIGNED's Reggae category called Song for Jamaica since 2017. We created our own Reggae competition brand called Reggae Star Factor and working with UK UNSIGNED, we have been sending our winners to the Rebel Salute Festival in Jamaica. In 2023, we took Reggae Star Factor winner, LA Gray, with the UK UNSIGNED team to Jamaica to represent us.

Unity Xtra has been a part of the broadcast team of UK UNSIGNED within the Your Digital Network (YDN) for the past 8 years. UK UNSIGNED & the SABA Network gave us a base to work from in 2015 and from there we established ourselves as Unity Xtra. Over these years, we have helped aspiring radio presenters to get on to Capital Xtra, BBC1Xtra & Kiss FM.

We have represented UK UNSIGNED in delivering showcases, auditions and workshops in the Luton & Bedfordshire region since it started in 1999. Working with UK UNSIGNED & the SABA Network, we have delivered projects with the likes of BBC Children in Need, The National Lottery Community Fund, The European Social Fund, Coca-Cola European Partners & UK Youth. Each year we also deliver events to highlight the contributions of the original Windrush pioneers.

Your Digital Network (YDN) supports UK UNSIGNED & SABA Network’s WINDRUSH LEGACY Youth Project. We are all working together to provide a sustainable legacy for the current and future generations for the next 75 years to 2098. YDN also includes the Youth Digital Network through which UK UNSIGNED finds aspiring presenters to prepare and produce broadcast content on a wide range of distribution formats.
